The Most Beautiful Girl in Lagos queen, Adebolawa Abimbolu, celebrated Children’s Day with the children of Oworonshoki, a small community in Lagos State. The event, a charity funfair tagged NutriKids Funfair, promoted and created3 awareness about the importance of child nutrition and its impact on academic performance and well-being.
The NutriKids Funfair was packed with nutritious food and snack options for the kids and guests. The event also featured a health talk session led by nutrition professionals, providing valuable information on healthy eating habits.
We also had a spontaneous Little Miss NutriKids pageant, where our winners received amazing prizes, including cash awards. Many educational games combined fun and learning, helping the children understand the value of healthy eating habits.
We were honored to have important personalities and dignitaries from Lagos State in attendance, including the Olori of Oworonshoki Kingdom, who was one of the sponsors of the event. Other notable attendees included Mr Mobolaji Ogunlende, the Honorable Commissioner for Youths and Social Development, Lagos State, the SSA to the Governor on Civic Engagement, and the Chief Whip of the Lagos State Youth Parliament, among others. Their support helped make the day a tremendous success, spreading the message of nutrition and health far and wide.
